The Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE) through the Energy Training for Latin America and the Caribbean (capevLAC) platform is hosting a virtual seminar on the challenges faced by energy regulators in the region.  In collaboration with the Ibero-American Association of Energy Regulators (ARIAE) and GET.transform, the 5-day training is designed for energy sector professional and decision makers in Ibero-America, and will look into the new challenges facing energy regulators today and how their role has evolved.

Aiming to strengthen institutional capacities, the workshop will explore strategies to successfully navigate challenges like renewable energy integration and digitalisation, and also provide an introduction to the regulatory impact assessment mechanism.

The workshop will be conducted over a period of five days in virtual sessions from 22 July to 2 August 2024 (with each session scheduled 9am to 11am GMT-5). It will be held in Spanish with simultaneous translation to Portuguese.

Registration is open until the maximum capacity of 400 participants is reached.
