The Policy Catalyst is an initiative by GET.transform and implementation partners to offer comprehensive capacity building and technical support on essential regulatory frameworks. Scaling GET.transform’s impact beyond established partner countries, the Policy Catalyst enables even more public sector partners in Africa and Latin America and the Caribbean to benefit from proven approaches and best practice regulation insights.
Different thematic windows provide standardised training and implementation support on regulatory building blocks that truly create conducive conditions for clean energy investment. With multiple countries participating in every window, the Policy Catalyst contributes towards harmonisation of regulatory approaches across countries and regions in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Each support window builds internal capacities of the participating countries but also includes option for further needs assessments and customised technical assistance.
In delivering the Policy Catalyst windows, GET.transform will tap into synergies and partnerships with other key sectoral programmes such as Sustainable Energy Africa (SEA), the World Bank‘s Energy Sector Management Assistance Programme (ESMAP) and Sustainable Renewables Risk Mitigation Initiative (SRMI), the African Forum for Utility Regulators (AFUR), and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).
Proven and standardised solutions for the workshops, trainings and regulatory approaches will ensure accelerated progress in de-risking clean energy investments.
